We make five wines at this estate: Orma Toscana IGT, Passi di Orma Bolgheri DOC, Rosso di Orma, Bianco di Orma Toscana IGT and a Bolgheri Superiore, with the utmost respect for the territory and the vines, elegantly and intriguingly interpreting the historic blends of Bordeaux. It is all about determining and balancing the percentages of the different grapes with enological skill to create complex, multifaceted and harmonious wines, while highlighting the best qualities of the different varieties. We harvest all the grapes separately by hand when they’ve reached peak ripeness and then begin blending throughout the various stages of vinification. Remembering that to make exceptional wine you need to have exceptional grapes.
Aola di Orma
The desire to express the exceptional qualities of these unique places has been at the heart of Orma’s philosophy from the very beginning. Orma’s Aola is a Cabernet Franc with a small addition of Cabernet Sauvignon, a faithful expression of a unique terroir that has always been in harmony with nature.
Passi di Orma
Our Bolgheri DOC, whose first vintage was in 2015. A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc gives this wine a distinct and elegant personality.
Rosso di Orma
A fresher, easy-to-drink IGT, made with Merlot and touches of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese, which enhance the wine’s roundness and tannin profile. It is the essence of conviviality.
Bianco di Orma
Traditional coastal Vermentino, vinified in stainless steel to preserve the primary aromas and distinct freshness. The personality of the grape combined with the elegance of the growing zone.
